Sunday Smiles (hello kitty swatches & more)

Hi everyone, if you are a new follower of my blog then come and say hello! :)

Thank you so much to everyone who entered my giveaway. I wish I could give you all prizes. The winner is the lovely Rachel from Life as a sweetaholic. I will be getting your gift bag together and emailing you about your prizes! :D Congrats.

This post is going to be something a little different. I have been feeling down in the dumps all week because a lot of family problems going on at the moment, it is really hard to deal with and getting me really down... I haven't been in the mood to do anything I usually like doing and I've been crying a lot. :( The only thing that seems to take my mind off it is reading blogs, doing my make up, blogging, going on twitter etc., because I can escape doing those and don't have to mention anything about what's going on. In a bid to try and cheer myself up and to hope for a better week this week, I thought I would do "Sunday Smiles".

This Hello Kitty eyeshadow palette which I talked about here. I got it free in the 3 for 2 deal from Superdrug. This seems to be their new line of hello kitty products with eye shadows, lip sticks, make up bags, etc., I collect hello kitty things and was lucky enough to get bought this by my boyfriend <3 I wasn't expecting much of the lipstick and eyeshadow I got, but the colours are actually pretty... I love the white and the dark purple/brown which I have used twice.

London - we went into central on Friday afternoon to go to the national portrait gallery and see our favourite Taylor Wessing photographic portrait prize. The competition is annual and only costs £2 to go and see. Me and my boyfriend always go and see the exhibition when it arrives, and we love to rotate between this and the BP portrait prize awards. Either of these exhbitions deserve more attention and recognition than they do, and if you need something to do whilst you're in central london out of the cold then I recommend going to see the Taylor Wessing. I really enjoyed it this year and saw some fantastic entries.

It was very cold and windy (evidence: my hair!!!!) on friday so after the gallery we went to a cafe and had tea and snacks. <3 yum.

This is my favourite scarf. I've had this guy since I was 16, I'm 21 now, and I'm still loving it more than any other scarf I buy. Nothing can replace this! It's so soft and fluffy, and I just feel right at home when I wear it.

Reading <3 In the summer, I purchased The Night Circus on my kindle before we went on holiday to Turkey. I read it within a day when we were on holiday! I loved the book so much, I felt enchanted by it and wouldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the time we were there. :X I'm pretty sure my boyfriend got fed up of me talking about the characters, lol. I loved the book so much that I bought it in paper back - I just have to own this book, so I'm re-reading it again and it is just as good as it ever was. I recommend it, it is something different - and if you ever have to read one book, I'd tell you this one.
